District Judges Recruitment Notification August, 2013 - High Court of Gujarat Posted: 30 Jul 2013 04:32 AM PDT The High Court of Gujarat, Ahmedabad invites application for the recruitment of District Judges as per the Adv. No: RC/1250/2013. Eligible candidates can apply online through high court website www.gujarathighcourt.nic.in. All information regarding application process, examination structure, exam syllabus, etc. are provided at Official Notification. Required details are given below. Job Description: Job Title: District Judges Number of Vacancies: Approximately 58 (27 Regular + 31 ad-hoc) Salary: Rs. 51,650-1240-59,090-1390-63,260 + allowances. What is the Eligibility Criteria to Apply for the recruitment of District Judges: Educational Qualification:  1) Candidates must complete a Degree in Law from a recognized university in India. 2) Candidates must be a Practicing Advocate in courts of civil/criminal jurisdiction & must have so practiced for a period not less than 7 years as on the last date of submission of online application. 3) Candidates must have possess Basic Knowledge of Computer Application/Operation. Age Limit: Gen 35 years, SC/ST/SEBS & Orthopedically Disabled persons 48 years and for Ex-serviceman 45 years Application Fees: For SC/ST/SEBS & Orthopedically Disabled persons Rs.500/- plus bank charges & for all others Rs.1000/- plus bank charges. Examination Structure: Interested candidates must go through scheme of Examinations for the post of District Judges. 3 stages of examinations are as follows: 1) Preliminary Exam (Elimination test), to be conducted on 22nd Sep, 2013 2) Competitive Exam: (A) Main Written Exam (Descriptive Type), to be conducted on 20/10/2013 (B) Viva-voce (Oral Interview): likely to be held in the month of Jan/Feb-2014 Selection Process: Selection of candidates is on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the main written test and viva-voce test and also on the basis of merit list.
