अहमद जावेद बने मुंबई के नए पुलिस कमिश्नर:
  • कई क्राइम का पर्दाफाश करने तथा उनकी गुत्थी सुलझाने वाले मुंबई के पुलिस आयुक्त राकेश मारिया को प्रमोशन देकर डीजी (होमगार्ड) बना दिया गया है।
फोर्ब्‍स एशिया के परोपकारियों की सूची में सात भारतीय:
  • इन्फोसिस के तीन सह-संस्थापकों और दुबई के शिक्षा उद्यमी समेत सात भारतीयों को परोपकारियों की फोर्ब्स एशिया सूची में शामिल किया गया है. इस सूची में 13 देशों के परोपकारियों के नाम हैं.
  • फोर्ब्स एशिया के एशिया-प्रशांत क्षेत्र के परोपकारियों की नौवीं सूची में इन्फोसिस के सह-संस्थापक सेनापति गोपालकृष्णन, नंदन निलेकणि और एस डी शिबूलाल को शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में उनके व्यक्तिगत योगदान के लिए शामिल किया गया है. इन्फोसिस के सह-संस्थापक एन आर नारायणमूर्ति के पुत्र रोहन भी इस सूची में शामिल हैं.
भारत की वृद्धि दर वित्त वर्ष 2015 में 7 फीसदी रहेगी : मूडीज
  • मूडीज इन्वेस्टर सर्विस कहा कि कच्चे तेल की कीमत में गिरावट की मदद से भारत के चालू खाते का घाटा (कैड) निम्न स्तर पर बना रहेगा लेकिन औद्योगिक उत्पादन और निवेश की वृद्धि दर में सुधार की गति धीमी होने के कारण चालू वित्त वर्ष के दौरान आर्थिक वृद्धि दर 7 फीसदी तक सीमित रहेगी।
सहारा इंडिया फाइनेंस कॉरपोरेशन का लाइसेंस कैंसिल:
  • सहारा समूह की प्रमुख कंपनी सहारा इंडिया फाइनेंस कॉरपोरेशन का लाइसेंस रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया ने निरस्त कर दिया है। कंपनी का मुख्यालय लखनऊ में है और रिजर्व बैंक कानपुर के नॉन बैंकिंग फाइनेंस कॉरपोरेशन (एनबीएफसी) विभाग में पंजीकृत है।
वैज्ञानिकों ने पृथ्वी से सबसे दूर स्थित आकाशगंगा की खोज की:
  • खगोल वैज्ञानिकों के अंतरराष्ट्रीय दल ने 13.2 अरब वर्ष पुरानी आकाशगंगा जेड 8 जीएनडी 5296 की खोज की. अमेरिका के टेक्सास विश्वविद्यालय के शोधकर्ताओं की यह नवीनतम रिपोर्ट प्रसिद्ध विज्ञान पत्रिका नेचर के सितंबर 2015 अंक में प्रकाशित हुई है. यह पृथ्वी से अनुमानतः 30 अरब प्रकाश वर्ष दूर स्थित है.
अरुण जेटली द्वारा महात्मा गांधी के कलेक्टेड वर्क्स का ई-संस्करण जारी:
  • केंद्रीय सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने 8 सितंबर 2015 को महात्मा गांधी के कलेक्टेड वर्क्स (सीडब्ल्यूएमजी) के 100 संस्करणों के ई-संस्करण का नई दिल्ली में लोकार्पण किया.
