  • सिविल सर्विसेज परीक्षा के पैटर्न की समीक्षा के लिए सरकार ने एक विशेषज्ञ कमेटी बनाई है। इस परीक्षा के जरिए देश में आईएएस, आईपीएस तथा अन्य अधिकारियों का चयन किया जाता है। केंद्रीय कार्मिक, जन शिकायत तथा पेंशन मामलों के राज्यमंत्री जीतेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि यह कमेटी उम्र में छूट, पात्रता, सिलेबस तथा पैटर्न समेत सभी पहलुओं की समीक्षा करेगी।
वरिष्ठ कवि-पत्रकार डॉ. वीरेन डंगवाल का निधन:
  • वरिष्ठ पत्रकार एवं साहित्यकार डॉ वीरेन डंगवाल का बरेली में लंबी बीमारी के बाद निधन हो गया। वह 68 बरस के थे और बरेली के एक अस्पताल में उनका इलाज चल रहा था।

  • विश्व के सबसे तेज गेंदबाजों में से एक टायफून के नाम से मशहूर इंग्लैंड के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज़ फ्रैंक टायसन का 27 सितंबर 2015 को ऑस्ट्रेलिया के गोल्ड कोस्ट स्थित एक अस्पताल में 85 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया.
शांति स्वरूप भटनागर पुरस्कारों की घोषणा:
  • विज्ञान एवं प्रोद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने 26 सितंबर 2015 को शांति स्वरूप भटनागर पुरस्कारों की घोषणा की. मंत्रालय द्वारा सात विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में 11 वैज्ञानिकों के लिए पुरस्कारों की घोषणा की गयी. बंगलुरु स्थित इंडियन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ साइंस के बालासुब्रमण्यम गोपाल, इंटरनेशनल क्रॉप्स रिसर्च इंस्टिट्यूट फॉर द सेमी-एरिड ट्रॉपिक्स (आईसीआरआईएसएटी) के राजीव कुमार वार्ष्णेय को जैव विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में पुरस्कार के लिए चुना गया.
